When every moment counts and the pressure’s on the SAFE 3812 Full Cabin is the fireboat you want on your side. As one of our largest and most iconic firefighting vessels, the 3812 is a powerhouse built to perform in the most demanding conditions. With up to 1600 horsepower and a top speed of 55 knots, this boat doesn’t just move—it flies. Equipped with joystick piloting and performance fins, it offers unmatched precision and agility, making it surprisingly nimble for a vessel of its size. Whether you’re maneuvering through tight harbors or racing to a remote emergency, the SAFE 3812 responds like the precision machine it is.

The fire suppression capabilities are just as impressive. At the heart of the system is a GMC 4.3L V6 engine powering a Darley LSDE pump, delivering 1,000 gallons per minute at 150 PSI. That kind of power sends water flying more than 125 feet through the Task Force Tips rooftop monitor, all controlled from a panel-mounted remote operator station inside the cabin. It’s built for serious firefighting—dock fires, waterfront industrial emergencies, marina rescues—this boat can do it all with force and finesse.

Design-wise, the SAFE 3812 is packed with smart, purposeful features that support both crew comfort and mission success. An unobstructed aft deck with integrated recovery zones makes rescue operations seamless while extra-wide exterior walkways allow crew members to move quickly and safely during high-stress situations. The SAFE XDR-1 Extreme Duty Reinforced collar system ensures rugged protection and stability, with collar colors customizable to suit department’s identity.

The hull itself is a feat of engineering, with a 5/16” 5086 aluminum bottom plate, reinforced keel beaching plate, and fully welded lifting strakes to ensure durability and performance. A stepped transom with a speed shoe, performance wings, and self-bailing decks make this vessel as sturdy and seaworthy as they come. Add in features like a 400-gallon fuel tank, FRC Spectra scene lighting, overhead spotter windows, and weather-tight doors and hatches, and it’s clear this boat was designed with real-world challenges in mind.
Inside the cabin, crews will find thoughtful touches like marine-grade insulation, upholstered headliners, and ventilation fans or optional AC, making long shifts more manageable. Safety is also a priority, with fire extinguishers, a life ring mount, CO detectors, and high-volume bilge and dewatering pumps built right in. Available CBRN detectors and air particulate filtration options ensure the SAFE 3812 is ready for virtually any scenario. The electrical system is just as robust, featuring LED navigation lights, interior/exterior dimmable walkway lights, and multiple 12VDC power receptacles for mission-critical gear.

At the end of the day, the SAFE 3812 is more than a fireboat—it’s a high-performance, mission-ready platform built to serve, protect, and respond without hesitation. Currently in service with FDNY and several other agencies across the country. For more information, visit our Firefighting section on our website here: https://safeboats.com/firefighting/
