Quality Manager

Hands-on leader of the SBI Tacoma Large Craft Operations Quality Assurance activities.  Manages efforts to maintain continuous product quality by developing and implementing process controls, data analysis and measurement methodology. Ensures consistent quality of production by developing and enforcing good processes and quality assurance systems; validating processes; providing documentation; managing staff; assist in developing, executing, and monitoring the quality assurance plan with concurrence from the broader functional organization. TACOMA -MIG Aluminum Welder

Under limited supervision, operates welding equipment using appropriate GMAW techniques to weld aluminum plate and extrusion in all positions, occasionally in a confined space. Prepares weldments using tool such as saws, routers, grinders, pneumatic cutting tool, wire brushes and various hand tools of the trade. Basic interpretation of blue prints, drawing, welds symbols and schedules to layout patterns on material. Performs tack welding in the fabrication phase of construction and the Pre-fab of sub-assemblies such as bulkheads, girders, decks and pilot house using jigs and fixtures. The operation of overhead cranes, forklifts, man lifts and other boat building equipment. Secures small parts for assembly & welding, keeps work area professionally neat and secure.

Responsible for the installation of electrical and mechanical components on SAFE Boats products. Installs inboard diesel engines and jet drives, along with associated cables and wiring. Installs fuel systems and filters. Fabricates and installs main and auxiliary wiring harnesses.

Tacoma - Marine Electronics and Mechanical InstallationTechnician

Responsible for the installation of electrical and mechanical components on SAFE Boats products. Installs inboard diesel engines and jet drives, along with associated cables and wiring. Installs fuel systems and filters. Fabricates and installs main and auxiliary wiring harnesses. Installs, interfaces and connects a variety of components such as lights, radios, radar, sonar, heating and air conditioning systems, auxiliary generators, GPS, chart plotters, etc.
