Warranty Service Technician ll - lll

Under general supervision the Warranty Technician serves as first point of contact for all incoming warranty related customer calls.  Has complete understanding of SAFE warranty processes and procedures with the ability to guide and advise customers accordingly.  The Warranty Tech is responsible for providing technical support to the customer for various basic and intermediate boat repair issues.   Daily tasks include taking trouble calls, making warranty determination, troubleshooting, effecting resolution and repairs, shipping parts, tracking parts returns, implement both OEM & SAFE service bulletins, providing quotes, and initiating internal work orders.  The Warranty Tech logs customer calls, activities, and follows up with customer and department personnel to ensure timely resolution of discrepancies and customer satisfaction. 

As a functional member of the SW&T team, may be required to perform warranty repairs at customer’s location.  For more complex service related repairs, may work under direction and/or guidance of senior technical staff on modifications, upgrades, or repairs that may affect overall performance and function of the boat. Technician will also write reports and otherwise follow department and company documentation and data tracking requirements.  Foreign and domestic travel may be required.

CDL Driver / Maint. Tech. ll

Facilities Maintenance Technician who currently maintains a CDL with a clean driving record. Experienced in hauling trailers, will transport watercraft, equipment and supplies, conduct preventive maintenance on vehicles, trucks and trailers and other related machinery when not transporting. A good candidate will have both mechanical and electrical aptitude, gained through a technical certificate from a certified technical school and a CDL. Or experience gained through a minimum of 5 years work experience in a mechanical setting or equivalent military training with a CDL. Experience in crane operation.

Naval Architect Bremerton

Bachelor’s Degree Required, certification preferred- responsible for full spectrum of engineering analyses pertaining to design and fabrication of aluminum work and patrol boats 20ft and larger. Job’s emphasis will be on stability analysis, performance analysis and predictions, structural engineering of aluminum hull structure to ISO, ABS, and other recognized standards and industry best practices. Additional scope of structural engineering includes, but is not limited to, equipment foundations, and towing, lifting and mooring fitting analysis using the most appropriate tools ranging from hand calculations to full FEA modeling and simulation. BREMERTON - MIG Aluminum Welder

Under general supervision, performs complex welding in construction of hulls and buildings.  Builds fuel tanks, pressure tests hulls, installs house (cabin), or T-Top assembly on boat. Operates MIG welding machines, grinder, wire brush and other small hand tools. Secures small parts for assembly & welding, keeps work area professionally neat and secure.

TACOMA -MIG Aluminum Welder

Under limited supervision, operates welding equipment using appropriate GMAW techniques to weld aluminum plate and extrusion in all positions, occasionally in a confined space. Prepares weldments using tool such as saws, routers, grinders, pneumatic cutting tool, wire brushes and various hand tools of the trade. Basic interpretation of blue prints, drawing, welds symbols and schedules to layout patterns on material. Performs tack welding in the fabrication phase of construction and the Pre-fab of sub-assemblies such as bulkheads, girders, decks and pilot house using jigs and fixtures.
